Heroz story

In 2018, the visionary of Heroz, Pieta Wolfaardt, was walking along the beach when a dream dropped in his heart. He was thinking about the famous people he was friends with who loved and served the Lord and would freely testify of His salvation. They were earthly heroes and through their stories they could point young people to the story of Jesus Christ – the ultimate Hero who died for our sins and then He rose again. The Lord prompted him to write the word Heroz in the sand. Heroes. He Rose.

But the vision did not end there. Pieta also felt a burden to bring the Bible to children in a fresh way, using technology and their cellphones. Therefore, Heroz provides the Bible and various child-friendly Bible resources for children to download for free.

The Heroz vision is summarised by 2 Corinthians 3:2-3: ‘Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiselled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it’  (The Message Bible). We see the lives of the earthly ‘heroes’ we work with as letters from Christ and we would love to help publish these ‘letters’ to a young audience.
